Insurgent

It feels good to ache that a book is over. I haven't felt that in a while! Sure all the books I have read recently were great but I haven't felt sad that I book ended since...oh .... after the last Maze Runner was finished which was in November.

INSURGENT!! I received this book the day it was released and didn't read it until I was finally through with classes.

Story starts off where Tris and Tobias get off the train from the end of the first book. This book is about the war against the Erudite and the factions either uniting together or falling apart. The Erudite leader is trying to grab everyone on their side and one of the ways is to implant people with this dye that can allow her to control them. There are a select group of people who have the power to not be controlled and it looks like they are needed to help take down this Erudite leader. Will they? Or will the whole area crumble? I really suck at reviews....read below

Insurgent

One choice can transform you—or it can destroy you. But every choice has consequences, and as unrest surges in the factions all around her, Tris Prior must continue trying to save those she loves—and herself—while grappling with haunting questions of grief and forgiveness, identity and loyalty, politics and love.

Tris's initiation day should have been marked by celebration and victory with her chosen faction; instead, the day ended with unspeakable horrors. War now looms as conflict between the factions and their ideologies grows. And in times of war, sides must be chosen, secrets will emerge, and choices will become even more irrevocable—and even more powerful. Transformed by her own decisions but also by haunting grief and guilt, radical new discoveries, and shifting relationships, Tris must fully embrace her Divergence, even if she does not know what she may lose by doing so.

New York Times bestselling author Veronica Roth's much-anticipated second book of the dystopian Divergent series is another intoxicating thrill ride of a story, rich with hallmark twists, heartbreaks, romance, and powerful insights about human nature.(less)

Guess what I get to do this Friday?

THIS!

What is upper endoscopy?

Upper endoscopy is a procedure that enables the examiner (usually a gastroenterologist) to examine the esophagus (swallowing tube), stomach, and duodenum (first portion of small bowel) using a thin, flexible tube through which the lining of the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum can be viewed using a TV monitor.

Why have you been scheduled for an endoscopy?

Upper endoscopy usually is performed to evaluate possible problems with the esophagus, stomach or duodenum, and evaluate symptoms such as upper abdominal painnausea or vomitingdifficulty in swallowing, intestinal bleeding anemia, etc.. Upper endoscopy is more accurate than X-ray for detecting inflammation or smaller abnormalities such as ulcers or tumors within the reach of the instrument.

I am getting this done to figure out why my stomach is always upset. If there is nothing wrong then we are going to see if I have any food allergies or an intolerance. I guess this is better than a colonoscopy...right? lol

It ended. I am so sad it did. I have watched DH since the day it arrived! I have loved every single season but thoroughly hated that they killed off Mike Delfino. Heartbreaking. I felt that this show hit close to home because of the suicides that occurred on the show. It was therapy.

I will be getting the full series box set whenever it comes out

Oh so sad....absolutely loved that show!

Haven't gotten my grades back, they are supposed to be here today...so that means they will be posted at 11:59pm.

Matt and I went to Austin this past weekend! He played in a family golf tournament while I read in the golf cart the whole time! It was bliss. I got my reading half way done for Julie's - PBFingers - book club!

don't mind my hair

I can blog again. School is out!

I had a very traumatic morning.

I was diagnosed with TMJ when I was 15 years old. Basically, I grind my teeth hardcore at night. I was prescribed a mouth guard (I had to wear it 24/7 when I was in high school) and now i have to wear it at night. Which you know, I never do. I guess I have been stressed (duh) and when I stress, I grind my teeth.

This morning I decided to eat a bagel for breakfast. Well, that triggered it. I was in some of the worst jaw pain of my life. OF MY LIFE! I cried at work. Yup, people saw me cry. One lady has TMJ so she knew what I was going through and found me an ice pack and I popped two aleve.

1 hour later the Aleve kicked in and the ice packed majorly helped. I am pain free...for now.

I am lazy. I also don't take care of myself.
When will I learn.
When will I stick to a plan to keep myself healthy?
I've GOT to figure something out.
